Snowflake Ornament Pattern 2.0

Merry Christmas!

Here's another snowflake ornament pattern.
Note: This pattern has NOT been tested. It took me 10 minutes to make & write and therefore is a quicker ornament, easy to use as a fun tag on gifts, etc. Possibilities are endless.

Materials needed:

- F Hook (4.0mm)

-Worsted Weight Yarn in 1 color (I used a white in Red Heart brand)

Abbreviations:

Ch (chain)

Sl st (Slip Stitch)

Sc (Single crochet)

Dc (double crochet)

Pattern: Note: The number of sides depends on how many DC you have in first row, in my example I have 8, but could do any amount you'd like to have multiple sides. Each snowflake is unique after all!

Row 1: Ch 5 (chain 5 makes up first DC and ch 1 of row), in 5th chain from hook, *dc, ch 1* seven times, sl st to top of fourth chain from beginning to join (end up with 8 dc, ch 1)

Row 2: sl st to ch 1 space, ch 1, *sc, dc, ch 3, dc, sc* in ch1 loop from row 1, repeat * to * in each ch 1 loop around (8 total * to *)

Row 3: sl st to ch 3 from row 2, ch 1, sc in the ch 3 loop from row 2, *ch 4, sc in next ch 3 loop*, repeat * to * around, join w/ sl st to first sc of row (8 chain 4 spaces, 8 sc total)

Row 4: (ch 3 [this makes first dc], dc, ch 5, sl st in 5th chain from hook to form peak, 2 dc) in sc from row 3, *sl st in ch 5 gap from prior row, (2 dc, ch 5, sl st in 5th chain from hook to form peak, 2 dc)*, repeat * to * around, sl st to top of ch 3 from start of row to join (8 total peaks)

To make loop: turn, sl st in sl st from row 4, ch 20, sl st back in sl st from row 4

Fasten off and weave in ends.
